Trademark and DMCA Notice

1. Our trademarks

The following are trademarks or registered trademarks of Voxgrid Inc (“sip.io”) in one or more countries: SIP.IO, sip.io and the SIP.IO logo. Our logos, product names, service names and the visual design of our websites and console are also our trademarks or trade dress, whether or not registered.

Other names and logos that appear on our websites, such as those of carriers, cloud providers, integrations or customers, belong to their respective owners. Their use does not imply endorsement by, or affiliation with, those owners unless stated.

2. General guidelines for using our marks

Anyone may refer to sip.io and our services by name in a truthful, non-misleading way, for example in articles, reviews, tutorials or to say that a product is compatible with sip.io. When doing so:

  • use our word marks as adjectives with a descriptive noun (“sip.io voice API”), not as verbs or plurals;
  • do not alter, animate, distort or combine our logos with other marks, and use only the logo files we provide;
  • do not use our marks in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement or partnership that does not exist;
  • do not use our marks, or confusingly similar marks, in your company name, product name, domain name, social media handle, app name or paid search keywords;
  • do not use our marks in connection with unlawful, misleading or disparaging content, or in a way that would violate our Acceptable Use Policy; and
  • where practical, include the attribution “SIP.IO and sip.io are trademarks of Voxgrid Inc.”

3. Partners and resellers

3.1 White-label partners. Partners using our white-label features may present the Services under their own brand. They are not required to use our marks, and must not use them in a way that misleads end users about who provides or supports the service. Where a partner chooses to say its product is “powered by sip.io”, it must follow these guidelines and any brand assets we supply.

3.2 Authorised resellers and partners may use our marks as permitted in their Reseller Terms or partner agreement, and only for the term of that agreement. Partners must:

  • describe their relationship accurately (for example “authorised reseller of sip.io”, not “sip.io” itself);
  • not register domain names, trademarks or social media accounts containing our marks;
  • not bid on our marks as search advertising keywords unless we agree in writing;
  • submit co-branded marketing materials for review on request; and
  • stop using our marks promptly when the agreement ends.

3.3 We may revoke permission to use our marks at any time if use does not comply with these guidelines. For questions or permission requests, contact legal@sip.io.

4. Reporting trademark misuse

To report use of a sip.io mark, or alleged infringement of your trademark by a sip.io customer (for example in a sender name, WhatsApp business profile, or caller name display), email legal@sip.io with your contact details, the mark, registration details, where the alleged misuse appears, and why you believe it is infringing.

5.1 We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our customers to do the same. Under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”, 17 U.S.C. § 512), we respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement relating to content hosted or transmitted using our Services or websites, such as recorded audio, hold music, IVR prompts or media files.

5.2 Designated agent. Notices should be sent to our designated agent:

DMCA Agent, Voxgrid Inc, 1646 W Snow Ave, Ste 169, Tampa, FL 33606, USA. Email: legal@sip.io

5.3 What to include. To be effective, a notice must be in writing and include:

  1. a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf;
  2. identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed (or a representative list, if multiple works are covered by one notice);
  3. identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it (for example the phone number, URL, or account and media file name);
  4. your contact information, including name, address, telephone number and email address;
  5. a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and
  6. a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Incomplete notices may not be acted on. Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing may make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

5.4 What we do. On receipt of a valid notice, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material, notify the customer responsible, and provide them with a copy of the notice (which may include your contact information).

6. Counter-notice

6.1 If you are a customer and believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to our designated agent including:

  1. your physical or electronic signature;
  2. identification of the material removed and where it appeared before removal;
  3. a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  4. your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which sip.io may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or their agent.

6.2 On receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will send a copy to the person who sent the original notice. Unless that person informs us within 10 business days that they have filed an action seeking a court order against you, we may restore the material between 10 and 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice.

7. Repeat infringer policy

We will, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, suspend or terminate the accounts of customers who are repeat infringers. We may also limit access to the Services or remove content of customers who infringe intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is repeat infringement.

8. Notices outside the United States

If you are outside the United States, you may also send a notice of infringement under your local law to legal@sip.io, including the information listed in section 5.3. For users in the European Union, we handle notices of illegal content in line with applicable requirements, including the Digital Services Act where it applies to us.

This page describes our procedures. It is not legal advice; if you are unsure whether material infringes your rights, or whether your use is lawful, please consult a lawyer.
