Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This page explains what data sip.io (this website) collects from visitors, how cookies and analytics are used, and the choices you have. It covers the marketing site and documentation you’re reading now. If you’re a SIP.IO platform customer, how we handle data you send through the platform (call data, messages, recordings, and so on) is covered separately, under your service agreement with us, not by this page.

What we collect

Essential cookies / local storage. A small number of items are required for the site to function correctly and can’t be turned off:

  • Your cookie-consent choice itself, so we don’t ask again every visit.
  • Your theme preference (light/dark), so it’s remembered between pages and visits.

These don’t identify you personally and aren’t used for tracking or advertising.

Analytics (optional). With your consent, we use the speech engine Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, how people navigate, and general aggregate traffic patterns. This helps us improve the site and documentation. Analytics is off by default; it only activates if you choose “Accept all” in the cookie banner, and you can change your mind at any time (see below).

Marketing (planned). We intend to use marketing/retargeting services (such as Meta, the speech engine Ads, and LinkedIn) so that people who’ve visited sip.io may see SIP.IO ads on other sites. This isn’t active yet; when it is, it will be gated by the same consent choice as analytics, off by default, and this page will be updated with the specifics before it goes live.

Contact form. If you submit the contact form, we collect the information you provide (name, email address, and optionally company and message) solely to respond to your inquiry. We don’t store form submissions in a database; they’re emailed directly to our team, with your address set as the reply-to so a response goes straight back to you. The form also has a separate, unchecked-by-default checkbox to opt in to product updates and other marketing emails; this is entirely optional, doesn’t affect whether we respond to your inquiry, and today is handled manually by our team (we don’t yet have an automated mailing-list tool), so you may not hear from us on this list immediately.

We don’t sell data to third parties.

Your choices

  • Cookie banner: on your first visit, you can choose Essential only (analytics stays off) or Accept all (enables analytics). Your choice is remembered locally in your browser.
  • Change your mind: clear your browser’s local storage for sip.io and reload the page to see the banner again, or use your browser’s built-in cookie/site-data controls to block analytics cookies at any time.
  • Browser-level controls: most browsers let you block third-party cookies or use “Do Not Track”-style settings; these work independently of our banner.

What the speech engine Analytics sees

When analytics is enabled, the speech engine Analytics receives standard web-analytics data: pages visited, approximate location (city/region level, not precise), device/browser type, and referral source. See the speech engine’s own privacy policy for how the speech engine processes this data. We use the speech engine’s Consent Mode, so no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to the speech engine Analytics until you accept.

Data we don’t collect on this site

We don’t have account sign-up or payment forms live on this website today; “Start free” and similar links take you to product documentation, not a form that submits personal or payment data to us. If that changes, this page will be updated to reflect it.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page if what we collect or how we use it changes, and update the “last updated” date above accordingly.
